Psychology, or more abstractly, the interest in the mind is a topic that has enthralled me for as long as I can remember. In my moments of quiet contemplation as a youth, I often pondered questions such as: Why do people behave in certain ways while others do not? What are the mechanisms behind our thoughts and actions. What are the most critical determinants of behaviour change? As an adult, the same curiosity that held my mind captive remained, so I decided to channel it into a career path – I have not looked back since.
Why Business/Industrial-Organisational Psychology?
Innovation, behaviour change, organisational success – none of these outcomes can be achieved without people and no other professional understands people, in all their complexity and intricacies, quite like a psychologist. Yet despite the numerous contributions to society, psychology has remained slow to adopt the technological revolution. On the other side, advances in technology have largely been blind to psychology’s growing body of evidence.
My vision is to unite these two worlds-to add value to organisations by combining the best science and analytics with cutting-edge technology, whilst championing moral and ethical practice. To this end, I bring a global perspective, an entrepreneurial mindset, and an insatiable hunger for creating positive and sustainable change for individuals and organisations.
My industry experience spans across several domains (including human resources, marketing, health and safety, higher education, and professional services), populations (students, business professionals, military personnel), and types of organisations (startups to ASX-listed).
